This bachelor’s thesis presents a monograph on the Czech photographer Martin Faltejsek, born in 1993 in Lanškroun. Despite of his age, he is a three-time laureate of the Czech Press Photo competition, the recipient of the 2020 Personality of Young Czech Photography under 30 award, and a graduate of the Institute of Creative Photography at Silesian University in Opava. The thesis traces his personal and professional development, provides a detailed analysis of the key cycles within his independent work, and situates them within the broader context of Czech and international staged, self-portrait, and landscape photography. It also reflects on his commercial and wedding photography, as well as the relationship between his artistic and commissioned work. The research draws on published interviews, curatorial texts and an original interview with the artist conducted as part of the preparation of this thesis. oponent práce MgA David Macháč
